This shot was taken on the beautiful island of Islay in Scotland, on our summer holiday last year.  Rory is wearing his Daddy's kilt, and 30 years ago or so, this could easily be his Daddy playing at the OK rock in Port Charlotte. Happy childhood memories.

There's something about the summer that takes me back to my childhood. So I've been experimenting with some 70's style lighting and found its ok to let the rays into your pics now and again to get that warm hazy feeling.

Haven't been posting for a wee while because its been hot and sunny here in Warsaw.  On days like that its hard to take good pictures and its hard to stay indoors processing pics.  One evening last week I did capture this pose.  When my little ones were babies it was all the trend to have the little feet photo, here's the same pic five years on and not-so-little feet.

Children are wonderful to capture.  This is Emma.

"Friends are the most important part of your life. Treasure the tears, treasure the laughter, but most importantly, treasure the memories."---Dave Brenner

Spent a lovely evening with such good friends last night.  This is Agnes, she's gorgeous.

Landscapes are not my thing, but how surprised and amazed when I downloaded the pics to find this stunning memory of my team taking in sunset on Dante's Peak in Death Valley, California when we went there in January.

Must stop posting, it will soon be time for bed,.  And here is the road to that sleepy haven in our lovely home.

It's not just about photos, pics, images.  This is the first and probably last time I will show myself on my blog, but here is a little non-narcissistic experiment in self-portrait.

I've resisted the temptation to blog for some time now.  I've often thought of blogging as a kind of therapy, a chance to get out into the open all rubbish going around one's head and feel some kind relief afterwards.  Or a bit of self-appreciation, or shouting out to people "hey look at me!"

Well, don't worry folks, the purpose of my blog is to make me do more of what I love and share it with you in the hope you too will like it.  And what's that I actually do?  Well, I don't like saying I'm a photographer, because my training has been pretty basic, but what I think I do is see interesting aspects of people or objects, appreciate them, and then try to capture that.

So I start my blog with some pics of people very dear to me - my beloved children and husband - I hope this blog makes you proud, you are so special.
